On the top of the first page of the handwritten original manuscript of the Theology of the Body, Pope Saint John Paul II wrote, Tota Pulchra es Maria - “You are all beautiful, Mary” – an adaptation of the bridegroom’s words in the Song of Songs, “You are all beautiful, my love, there is no blemish in you” (Song 4:7).
On his feast day, October 22, 2022, join Father Boniface Hicks, OSB, author and spiritual director, and Jen Settle, Consecrated Virgin, Spiritual Director, and Director of Ongoing Formation for the Theology of the Body Institute, as they guide you through a retreat honoring Our Lady.
Who is Our Lady and how are we called to relate to her as Virgin, Bride, and Mother? How do we encounter her femininity as a healing to our masculine or feminine hearts? How can we see her anew through the lens of the Theology of the Body? Join us for a day of reflection and renewal of your Marian devotion.
Meet Your Retreat Leaders
Father Boniface Hicks, OSB is a Benedictine monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey and a Catholic priest. He has authored the book Through the Heart of St. Joseph. He has co-authored the books Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love and Spiritual Direction: A Guide for Sharing the Father’s Love. Father Boniface serves as Director of Spiritual Formation for Saint Vincent Seminary and Director of the Institute for Ministry Formation at Saint Vincent Seminary. He is the Programming Manager and On Air Host of We Are One Body Catholic radio. Father Boniface has served as a TOBI course chaplain many times and is the instructor for our TOB & Spiritual Direction certification course.
Jen Settle is a Consecrated Virgin in the Diocese of Orlando. She has been a staff member at the Theology of the Body Institute since 2008, where she currently serves as the Director of Ongoing Formation. She has Bachelor and Master degrees in Theology and Parish Ministry from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Jen worked in religious education and adult faith formation for 15 years before joining the TOBI staff, teaching Theology of the Body throughout the country. She completed the Spiritual Direction Certificate Program with Divine Mercy University in 2020 and she now serves as a spiritual director. She is the co-author of the book, Consecration to Jesus through Saint Joseph: An Integrated Look at the Holy Family, and a contributor to the books, Undone: Freeing the Feminine Heart from the Knots of Fear and Shame, and God is Beauty: A Retreat on the Gospel and Art.

Can I share my password with a friend, group, or parish?
No, we ask that you refrain from sharing your password and/or the content. In order to access the Patron Community and/or its content, each individual will have to give a monthly gift.
If I cancel my monthly gift will I still have access to the Virtual Retreat?
No, the Virtual Retreat is apart of our Patron Community. If you choose to cancel your monthly gift you will lose access to the recordings of the Virtual Retreat.
